In short: GolfMate works without an account and without a server. Everything you enter stays on your device.
We do not collect, receive, sell or share your personal data. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

What the app does
GolfMate is an offline golf companion. It lets you browse golf courses, save tee-time bookings, track rounds hole by hole, choose a Shot Strategy for each hole, and review your personal statistics and goals.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the following information locally, only on your device:
- Booking information: full name, email address, phone number, number of players, selected tee time, and optionally your golf experience level and a comment.
- Round and performance data: rounds, hole results (strokes, putts, fairways, greens in regulation, penalties), strategy selections, notes, statistics and personal goals.
- Profile and settings: display name, experience level, preferred course difficulty, default number of holes and in-app notification settings.
This information is saved in the app's private storage and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. A booking made in GolfMate is stored on your device only and is not sent to the golf course.
No account required
You do not need to create an account, sign in or provide a password to use GolfMate.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect or receive any personal data from the app.
- The app does not contain analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
- The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.
- The app does not request internet access, so it cannot send data off your device.
- GolfMate does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. Please do not enter health, financial or other sensitive details in comments or notes.
Backups
App backup is turned off. Your GolfMate data is not copied to cloud backups or transferred to a new device.
How long data is kept and how to delete it
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete all locally stored information at any time:
- In the app, open Profile & Settings > Reset Local Data and confirm, or
- Uninstall the app, or clear its storage in your device's Android settings.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. Because we never receive your data, we cannot restore it.
Security
Data is kept in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot access under Android's standard security model. Keep your device protected with a screen lock to protect the information stored on it.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, you have rights over your personal data, including access, correction and deletion. Because all GolfMate data is stored only on your device, you can view, edit and delete it directly in the app. If you have questions about your rights, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children
GolfMate is intended for adult amateur golfers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date, and significant changes will be included in an app update.
